Tom Holland's version of Spider-Man was first introduced in 2016's Marvel Cinematic Universe film Captain America: Civil War. It was originally to be released in 2018, before Sony rebooted Spider-Man with Tom Holland. The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is a superhero film intended as the third installment for The Amazing Spider-Man film series.
